Boningtons have significant expertise in appraising and selling a broad range of European and British works of art at auction, from antiquity to the present day. Our Asian Art department also deals with a wide selection of works from this region, which is very popular both here and overseas.
We regularly handle objects in a variety of mediums including ivory, marble, alabaster, stone, wood, terracotta, bronze and plaster.
If you have any items that you would like to own you can advise us through our enquiry form and we will notify you via e-mail when these examples become available. If you would like to speak with a specialist on any Works of Art then please contact our salesroom and a specialist will be on hand to deal with your inquiry.
When it comes to bidding on items that you are interested in you can bid online or you can attend one of our auction days at our Essex based auction house. We are centrally based in Essex and only a short drive from London or further afield. If you have never attended an auction before you can speak with one of our salesroom staff who can advise you of the process and show you how it works. It is relatively straight forward and can be a most enjoyable experience, especially if you come across an item that is of interest to you.
On the home page of our website before each auction you can see a list of what will be auctioned, so you can get a chance to view any items before the sales day.
