Diamond Abstract Cluster Ring Whilst the summer months are a time for rest & relaxation for many, it is full steam ahead at Boningtons with over 400 Lots on offer in our forthcoming auction on Monday 11th August, including jewellery, clocks & watches, silver, coins, stamps, furniture, pictures, ceramics and much more.

The sale looks set to get off to a flying start with Lot 1, a Diamond Abstract Cluster Ring (£1200-1500) which will be followed by a good range of other pieces including an 18ct chain and earrings set with pink sapphires and diamonds (Lot 22, £750-1000). As usual silver is well represented by some good quality lots such as a cased Georg Jensen silver utensil set (Lot 50, £500-800) and some early examples such as Lot 49, a Georgian silver ladle (£100-200).

Pictures are in abundance, boosted by an excellent selection of hand signed modern prints by some very notable artists such as Helen Bradley & David Shepherd. Two original oils by the ever popular John Strevens (Lots 163 & 164), originally acquired from the artist’s studio sale, look sure to attract good interest, and there are also some earlier works on offer by well listed Victorian painters.

The furniture on show includes a healthy mix of Georgian, Victorian & Edwardian works, whilst a 19th century mahogany longcase clock by Edmund Sturgys of Dublin is already attracting good pre-sale interest (Lot 238, £600-800). Also up for grabs are a lots of musical interest, notably a collection of award discs (Lot 251-256) and a Hofner guitar (Lot 263, £300-500).

The sale will be brought to a fitting conclusion by an excellent range of ceramics and glassware, including a beautiful 19th century Webb Vaseline glass epergne (Lot 355, £300-500), a Royal Doulton Vanborough dinner service (Lot 324, £200-300) and some fine Lalique pieces (Lots 357 & 358).
