Car for Auction

For many the Christmas period is a time for winding down but it is full steam ahead at Boningtons where we are holding two Specialist auctions over the next fortnight as we look for a fitting end to what has been a cracking year.

The first of these auctions is The Toy Sale on Monday 9th December (commencing at 2pm). Boningtons` bi-annual toy auctions are always eagerly anticipated and attract collectors from far and wide to view and bid on a vast array of Die-cast, Trains, Dolls, Teddy Bears, Lead, Plastic, Militaria, Tinplate, Constructional & Railway toys, Comics & Annuals.

Omega Watch to AuctionAs usual Mondays sale includes a fine selection of lots by notable manufacturers such as Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox, Hornby and Steiff. Specific individual highlights include an Austin J40 roadster pedal car – the classic pedal car produced by Austin Motor Co from 1949 (Lot 585), a scratch built live steam tug boat with an A & S steam engine (Lot 661), an early 20th century grey rocking horse (Lot 554), as well as some very fine Hornby examples such as a boxed Hornby E320 “Flying Scotsman” electric passenger set 0 gauge (Lot 649) and a boxed Hornby series 0 gauge clockwork special locomotive LNER “Branham Moor” (Lot 680).

The afternoon Toy Sale will follow a morning Interiors sale which includes the usual array of good quality antiques and collectables such as jewellery, clock & watches (not least Lot 37, a 1940s 18ct gold Omega chronometer watch with Bumper movement), silver, pictures, furniture, ceramics & works of art. We are currently accepting entries for our final sale of the Year, The Christmas Sale, on Monday 18th December.
