WW1 QEIIR Lifeguards officer`s helmet

The auction will commence with a fantastic selection of coins including some significant hammered examples such as a Queen Anne Guinea & George II Two Guinea Coin (Lots 146 & 147, £1000-1500), as well as numerous sovereigns and proof coins. Stamps are subsequently well represented by several significant individual collections comprising of GB & world examples such as Lot 179 (a complete collection of German stamps, £2000-3000) and Lot 200 (Two KA BE albums of Mint US stamps, £500-800).

An extensive selection of military lots then follows including a diverse range of badges & medals, weaponry, clothing, ephemera, books & pictures. A highlight of the medals section is a fine George V military medal to 9901 L Cpt H Sparks, 2nd Essex Regt (Lot 278, £300-500), whilst a WWII German Luftwaffe pilot`s breast badge (Lot 232, £250-350) heads up the badges.

Also up for grabs is a range of clothing and equipment including a significant single private collection of German WWI examples which look sure to attract good interest in the First World War centenary year. More recent works include a beautiful QEIIR Lifeguards officer`s helmet with two horsehair plumes (Lot 378, £600-800) and a Jaeger le Coultre military wristwatch (Lot 372, £300-500).
