Boningtons` Essex saleroom is now open for viewing for its forthcoming Interiors sale on Monday 14th October. There are over 400 lots on offer including a significant selection of jewellery, silver, pictures, ceramics, furniture, works of art, stamps and much more. The ceramics on offer are particularly strong with highlights including a Royal Doulton eight-place setting `Carlyle` dinner service (Lot 364) & a Moorcroft lamp base with dragon design (Lot 328).
Other notable lots up for grabs include a cold painted bronze depicting Charles Brand (1858-1912), Master of The Hounds (Lot 122), a mahogany Vienna wall clock with eagle finial (Lot 227), a pair Ali v Cooper tickets for the heavyweight world championship fight at Highbury Stadium on 21st May 1966 (Lot 388) and the sale will be bought to a fitting conclusion by a quality stamp collection of GB and Commonwealth examples (Lot 416). Other interesting items include two large National cash registers (Lots 293 & 294), one in very good condition.
Boningtons last Interiors auction on 30th September was over 500 Lots strong and duly resulted in a packed saleroom, competitive bidding and some very strong prices achieved across the diverse range of items. A rare Curta AG Mauren type 72810 calculator in original case made £380 & a boxed Lalique `Millennium Shooting Star` paperweight realised £240. £240 was also the hammer price for an interesting lino-cut by Edward Bawden which was unsigned but had provenance from the Fry Gallery signed by the artist`s son and attracted significant interest before selling to an internet bidder.
