Monday 15th June will be a historic day for Boningtons Auctioneers as our Loughton office holds it last ever auction before we move to our brand new saleroom in Epping!
Our first auction at the new site will be a Rock ‘n’ Roll & Film Memorabilia auction on 29th June, followed by a specialist Country House sale of premium fine art and antiques on July 15th. Further information about our new premises, which will run alongside our Chelmsford consignment office, can be found on our website: https://www.boningtons.com/dynamicdata/data/we-are-moving.pdf
The extensive selection of lots in Monday’s auction looks set to ensure that our Loughton site goes out with a bang. As usual the saleroom is packed full of jewellery, clocks & watches, silver, pictures, ceramics, militaria and taxidermy.
There are an number of high quality watches up for grabs including a boxed 18ct ladies Rolex Datejust wristwatch (Lot 53, £2500-3500), a gentleman’s Breitling Top Time chronograph (Lot 67, £500-800) and 1940s Rolex officer’s watch in a .925 silver Rolex case (Lot 51, £300-500).
The silver includes a fine collection of cigarette and vesta cases whilst also on offer are some good collections of rugs and militaria – a WWII Kriegsmarine dagger with blade by Eickhorn, being the standout example of the latter (Lot 232, £400-600).
A fine selection of toys (Lots 359-426) will bring the auction to a fitting conclusion. Notable lots include a Bing locomotive & two Hornby locomotives (Lot 369, £200-300) and an extensive single owner collection of lead military figures.
We would like to thank also our clients, buyers and sellers alike, for their support and custom over the years at our Loughton saleroom. We can’t wait to see you at our new premises!
