The fully illustrated catalogue for Monday’s Interiors sale is now available to view online. Our Loughton saleroom is presently packed with almost 400 lots of jewellery, clocks and watches, silver, pictures, furniture, ceramics, works of art, coins, stamps, toys and much more!
Jewellery highlights consist of a sapphire, gold & diamond ring (Lot 16, £400-600), an abstract 1970s ring set with oval opals (Lot 9, £200-400), and a gold heart pendant & rope chain (Lot 34, £250-350). There is also a strong selection of coins, stamps and medals up for grabs as well as some beautiful pocket watches such as Georgian pair-cased pocket watch with painted dial of a river scene (Lot 52, £100-150).
The paintings on offer are particularly strong with some fine still life examples catching the eye. Lot 140 comes in the form of an oil on panel depicting cyclamen by the well listed 20th century artist John E. Nicholls whose work has been known to fetch over £2,000 at auction. Also on view is a study of Poppies by Alfred Reginald Thomson (Lot 151) whose paintings of mid 20th century British society have been known to exceed £50,000!
Finally, a large single owner collection of Susie Cooper tableware (Lots 319-344) strengthens an already healthy selection of ceramics which also includes quality examples of Lladro, Crown Derby, Worcester, Doulton and some interesting early Delftware.
Despite the distraction of the bank holiday weekend, our
last Interiors sale on 7th April was very well attended and yielded some very significant results including an amber necklace (£1,500), a large quantity of watch parts (£1,700) and a gorgeous pair of Royal Crown Derby twin-handled lidded urn vases (£1,700).
Our next Interiors sale is on Tuesday 5th May.
