Getting antique jewellery is a great way to add style and refinement to your wardrobe while knowing nobody else has quite the same thing. A lot of antique jewellery is unique or rare, making it an affordable alternative to custom jewellery. There is a wide variety of styles and forms of jewellery that are sold at auctions every month, so even if you don't find exactly what you want right away, you can keep checking until you find something you like.
Some people don't see the point of buying old jewellery from an auction because they see these items as castoffs. But in truth most of these items are well cared for when owned. There are a great many reasons why they are sold, but you won't find unwanted junk jewellery at these auctions.
We are still consigning for this sale and would welcome further Lots, please call the saleroom for a valuation or send a message using the form below
One of the main reasons antique jewellery is becoming so popular is that a lot of older fashions are coming back into vogue. Companies are trying to reproduce styles from years past, but the look is never quite the same. Also, if you buy new jewellery, you know that someone else is likely to be wearing the same thing. New versions of jewellery don't hold the initial glamour that the originals did, and new jewellery often is not made to the same standards, and doesn't last as long. So buying antique jewellery is actually a better investement.
Looking for antique jewellery at mid-range auctions is a great place to start. Here you can find fine quality items and you have the opportunity to get them for reasonable prices. More than likely you will find yourself buying repeatedly at the auctions because of the craftsmanship and beauty of the antique jewellery you find. Keep in mind that these items make wonderful gifts and tokens that can become treasured heirlooms too.
