Coins, Stamps & Medals
Boningtons offer expert advice and appraisals regarding all coins, stamps and medals, for which the market is currently particularly strong.
We were recently delighted to consign a significant private collection of 500+ medals. The collection included some extremely fine examples of gallantry medals and pieces dating from the Victorian and Edwardian eras to the present day.
The majority of the collection went under the hammer on Monday 6th February 2012. We had a record turnout in the Saleroom (despite very inclement weather!). Bidding was very competitive amongst collectors and dealers alike (both in the room and on the telephones) with the Crimean and early Victorian medals holding good premiums. The entire collection sold.
Specific highlights to date for our Fine Art Auction in June 2012 include a cased Military Cross with citation, a pair of Falklands Atlantic medals to the Parachute regiment, a WWI Military Medal group and a Military General Service Medal with three bars.
If you are looking to purchase a particular era or type of coin, stamp or medal, please provide us with your details on our enquiry form and we will notify you via e-mail when such examples become available in our forthcoming sales.
